DAY 1: CUSCO - LAKE TITICACA - PUNO
The first day of the trip is challenging, but very rewarding at the same time as you cross the highlands where local drivers tend to roll. After lunch we continue along the winding and climbing route. Throughout the day make interesting stops. Overnight in a quality hotel.
DAY 2: LAKE TITICACA - EXPLORING LAKE AND PUNO (no motorbikes)
Boat tour on Titicaca for one day or two days we leave whole decision to you!
In the morning we will discover the beauty of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, and its the spectacular islands: Uros, Taquile, Amantany - some of them are floating! Uros island is typical of the very friendly and charismatic Andean Quechua people, and traditional Taquile and Amantani, which offers incredible scenery and a unique tradition where men are specialist weavers as well as costumes of the Aymara culture. In the afternoon we return to the city of Puno, where you can enjoy the afternoon exploring sites like the Andean baroque-style Puno Cathedral and the Yavari, a 19th-century steamship.
DAY 3: PUNO - NATIONAL RESERVE OF SALINAS AND AGUA BLANCA - CHIVAY
Today we get our motorbikes and cross the plateau, valleys and mountains between Puno and Chivay, Our route takes us along valleys , volcanic regions and natural parks to the heart of the Colca Valley.
This southern Peru mountain road reaches over 4200 meters in the Andes giving incredible vistas at every turn. The road swings downward and give us access to the valley where we spend the night.
After the long journey, thermal baths offer us a natural spa to rebuild our energy and relax our muscles for the next day.
DAY 4: CHIVAY - CRUZ DEL CONDOR
The incomparable beauty of the mountains at dawn is awaiting us today. Then a tour of a colonial town full of culture and gastronomy. After breakfast we’ll weave through traditional towns and pastoral mountain landscapes, drive through mountain tunnels, and make a stop at the legendary Cruz del Condor (3,287 m). Here we’ll have the chance to see condors in ll their natural splendor. It’s truly an amazing sight when a dozen of these enormous predators careen over the rocky massif, huddle along its edges and swoop over us. ( weather permitting). We’ll also see the amazing lush rice terraces of Inca fame.
DAY 5: CHIVAY – CUSCO
On this our last day on motorcycles, we enjoy a fantastic mountain road, over the highest point of this tour, the Raya Pass (4.335 m), then follow the road further south through picturesque highland villages. On these high Andean roads typical camelids graze: vicunas, llamas, and alpacas. Snow at this altitude is not uncommon. In the afternoon we arrive in Cusco.
